Youth-N-Action, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Darryl Mayes in Montgomery, Alabama, with a vision of helping steer young people toward positive and productive futures.
What began as a grassroots effort centered on mentorship, guidance, and opportunity has grown into a sports-based youth development organization serving young people through athletics, education, leadership development, scholarships, mentorship, and community engagement.
In 2016, Youth-N-Action received recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, creating opportunities to expand its programs, partnerships, and community impact.
More than 30 years after its founding, Youth-N-Action continues to evolve while remaining committed to its original purpose: creating opportunities that help young people succeed.
Today, Youth-N-Action is building the next chapter of its impact through student-athlete development, competitive sports, educational opportunities, community initiatives, scholarships, and signature events.
