Our target audience is the children and youths in Montgomery, Alabama. The population in this area is 205,501 (United States Census Bureau, 2019). 23.8% of them are under the age of 18 and 5.8% are between the ages of 18 and 24. Of this population, 20.6% are living in poverty and 32.8% have a bachelor’s degree or higher. Due to the demographics in this area, our programs will address these issues by:
-Provision of an educational program that will address and bridge educational gaps and provide tutoring for our participants
-Providing programs to enable at-risk children and youths gain life skills which will keep them away from crime, drugs and provide them with a solid foundation for a better tomorrow
-Providing athletics programs for our participants to excel on and off the playing field
-Strengthening family growth and development of youths
-Stimulating communication between youths
We believe our programs are and will continue to positively impact our community, because we have seasoned and result-oriented staff and volunteers who are committed working day and night to support at-risk children and youth to develop into productive citizens.
-To guide participants towards personal success and to prepare them to be productive citizens in society
-To encourage bonding between the parents and child
-To support, encourage and motivate under-privileged and at-risk students to attend college
-To promote lifelong personal growth, help them overcome childhood traumas that may hold them back, and create in these children a sincere belief in themselves through sports development, teaching, counseling, motivation, and mentorship
-Fostering a sustainable and safe neighborhood as well as paying close and personal attention to our participants
-To provide the community with resources for effective family strengthening that encompass a holistic approach to the child and youth care
-To support families in crisis
-To promote socialization and healthy sports competition for the youth
Improving the lives of 100 participants from 6-18 years old in the next 12 months
-To develop and implement a promising sports program that addresses the athletic needs of the youth early in life
In relation to our target audience , we measure success by:
-Improved social and emotional intelligence
-Increase in positive behavior
-Increase in classroom engagement
-Increase in sports performance of our participants
-Increase in the number of participants
-Improved academic grades of participants
-Level of self-awareness and a role in the society by our participants
-Positive impact on depression and anxiety in our participants as we also provide them with counseling.
-Reduction to the barest minimum of out of school dropouts
-Increase in societal inclusion, gender equality, participation, well-being, and empowering of participants
-Reduction in the number of at-risk teenagers in our communities
In relation to the organization:
-Strengthening our organization’s reputation as a trusted partner in providing specialized services to children and youths in our immediate community and beyond.
-Expanding the partner network of the organization and including local and national sponsors and investors
-Increasing the impact of the work of the organization in our community, state, and globally.
